A first-class military lodge with Scottish Traditions
Whether you’re a member of Edinburgh Lodge, a visiting Mason, or just someone with an interest in the ancient and venerable fraternal association known as Freemasonry...
True to the celebrated city in Scotland whence came its name, Edinburgh Lodge is immersed in Scottish tradition, pursuing time-honoured military customs as part of its Masonic heritage.
Many veterans, serving military, ex-military, and reserve personnel
are members. Many non-military
members also enjoy the Lodge's long-
established Scottish and military milieu.
Edinburgh Lodge uses the official tartan of the world famous Edinburgh Military Tattoo which is designed to represent the three colours of the UK Armed Forces (Army-Red, Navy-Dark Blue-Air Force-Light Blue). The black check represents the City of Edinburgh. The tartan is a distinctive emblem of Edinburgh Lodge, proudly worn by members in their dress kilts, bow-ties and neckties, and well-recognized among other Lodges in the district.
Although a young lodge compared to some others, Edinburgh Lodge’s esprit de corps, and commitment to excellence, fidelity, and fellowship make it stand out.
